Pyramid Pharmacy is a group of retail pharmacies owned and run as a family business.
We engross ourselves in the communities where our pharmacies are located and provide individual care to all our customers. Being in the healthcare industry we see first-hand the hardships that communities suffer and this has encouraged us to support people in need.
We are proud to have been one of One Kind Act’s Sponsors and help and support them wherever we can. We believe in their cause and that every human being should have the right to proper living conditions, food, healthcare and education.
Over the last 5 years, we as a family have hosted an annual Garden Party which has become our flagship OKA event. To date, we have facilitated fundraising of over £140,000 which has gone towards making a difference to people around the world, from building houses for slumdwellers in Sierra Leone, feeding the homeless, educating children in remote Rajasthan, refurbishing a girls dormitory in a Kenyan orphanage, building water tanks to harness rainwater for drinking for a school in Tanzania, a dialysis unit in India to transforming and refurbishing schools in India through Smart classrooms and better hygiene and toilet facilities.
We hope to carry on and help those less fortunate with the help and guidance of One Kind Act.
GRANTS MADE BY OKA TO DATE ON BEHALF OF PYRAMID PHARMACY
Prior to becoming our Sponsor Partner in mid 2021, because of their amazing generosity and fundraising efforts at the annual OKA Garden Party event, grants totalling £80,600 were made towards various projects supported by OKA.
Since becoming a Sponsor Partner in mid 2021, and through their continued generosity and amazing fundraising efforts at their annual OKA Garden Party, OKA have made the following grants on their behalf:
- £37,695 to Global FICCS for a new Renal Unit
- £46,620 to YUVA for a complete Transformation of a government school in Goa, India
- £37,798 to YUVA for a complete Transformation of a government school 1 in Punjab, India
- £38,044 to YUVA for a complete Transformation of a government school 2 in Punjab, India
- £9,000 to YUVA for 9 Student Scholarships as part of BSP
- £3,960 to YUVA to introduce English as part of their curriculum at government school 3 in Punjab, India
- £16,400 to Punarnava towards the purchase of provisions and for the preparation of a daily midday meal for 100+ elderly villagers, as part of the continuance of Project Annam
- £50,400 to YUVA for a complete Transformation of a government school 3 in Punjab, India
- £2,300 to ABLE for to enable them to carry out cataract surgeries in India
- £30,000 to YUVA for a complete Transformation of a government school 4 in Punjab, India
- £15,000 to YUVA to build YUVA to build a preschool for Rameshwar Vidya Mandir School, Santa Cruz, India
All remaining raised funds have been assigned to OKA general funds for deployment to projects as and when the need has arisen.
